About The Church of the Holy Spirit in Vilnius:
Saint Faustina chose an artist from Lithuania, Eugeniusz Kazimirowski. He painted the image according to her instructions and completed it in 1934.
It was taken to several different churches in the following years before reaching its eventual home here in the Church of the Holy Spirit in 1987. It hung here until 2004, when it was moved nearby to the Shrine of Divine Mercy.
Today, an exact copy of the painting of Divine Mercy hangs in the Church where the original had been.
