Washington, D.C. Ulma Family Exhibit and Relics

All Day
January 12, 2024

The Shrine is blessed to offer its pilgrims the opportunity to learn and venerate the first-class relics of recently beatified Ulma family. Killed during the Nazi occupation of Poland for sheltering Jews, Józef, Wiktoria, and their seven children—including the first unborn baby to be beatified—bear witness of the fact that, as John Paul II beautifully summarized, “salvation passes by way of the family.” The new temporary exhibit weaves together the story of the Ulma family with Saint John Paul II’s teachings on the role of the family as “active agent for peace.” The exhibit will be available starting January 12.
