Bayeux, France

Bayeux is one of France’s most picturesque cities….which says a lot, since there are so many picturesque cities in France.  Located in Normandy, it is close to both the Normandy Beaches and other World War II memorials.  For history buffs, it is a great place to visit..not only for the Bayeux tapestry in the museum but two other museums in the city as well: Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy and the MAHB – Baron Gérard Museum of Art and History.  And it has a beautiful Cathedral dominating the center of the city.
