Juneau, Alaska: Alaskan Port Ministry

Most cruises to Alaska pay a call at Juneau, and of course there are many Catholics on board.  Some days there are up to 5 cruise ships in port, and many of them dock on Saturday or Sunday.

You would like to attend either Saturday Vigil Mass or Sunday Mass, but how will you get there?  It’s quite a hike uphill to the Cathedral, and not easy, especially if you don’t know where you are going.  In most cases the concierge on your ship should be able to give you the Mass times.

Just call the office cell phone at (907) 209-8573 or email Patty Morgan at abpattyk@gmail.com and arrange for pick up from the Port Ministry team.

Then look for the bus with the words “Free rides to Mass” as well as an image of the Blessed Mother on the side.
