About Saint Thomas Aquinas Cathedral in Reno:
In the early years, the growth of this area stemmed from mining, not gambling, and that is reflected inside the Cathedral. The altar is made from native Nevada Aragonite from a local mine.
Among other notable features of the Cathedral is a life-size replica of Michelangelo’s “Pieta”.
