Norwalk, Connecticut: Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church

About Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk, Connecticut:

What has become an oft-repeated story, Saint Mary’s Catholic Church here in Norwalk succumbed to the “renovations” of the 60’s, resulting in a rather austere sanctuary…not terribly ugly, but just not quite what anyone (in our humble opinion) would call beautiful or inspiring.

As the pendulum swings back to traditional church architecture, the parish community sought to restore it by renovating its sanctuary, including the (re)addition of a high altar, marble floor, altar rails, stenciling, side altars, and a painted ceiling….all of which brought the building to life.

Saint Mary’s is part of the Diocese of Bridgeport and is known for regularly offering the Traditional Latin Mass (the Extraordinary Form).
