As might be expected in such a small city, there is only one Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

St. Ann Catholic Church:
The parish completed an extensive sanctuary transformation to brighten a dark 1970s interior and restored the church to its original 1890’s beauty. The original paintings were replicated, altar rails reinstalled, and an authentic 1901 pipe organ added. In addition, the older green and yellow windows were replaced with custom Scottish stained glass. Now it looks like a Catholic church!

Because the sanctuary lacked a natural window, artists created a hand-painted glass panel mounted on the wall and backlit with LEDs to simulate daylight. The design incorporates trellis and garden motifs, with red accents in the glass representing the bloodline of Christ.
