About Blessed Sacrament Church in Honolulu, Hawaii:
The church was built in 1938 as a mission church by the Sacred Heart Fathers.The building itself was inspired by the California Missions, since it was originally part of the Diocese of San Francisco. In the mid-1940s, it became a parish of the Diocese of Honolulu.
Blessed Sacrament has the unique distinction of being the only Parish on the island of Oahu that regularly offers both the Ordinary Form of the Mass (The Novus Ordo Mass of Paul VI) as well as the Extraordinary Form of the Mass (the Traditional Latin Mass according to the Missal of 1962).
