Worldwide: Feast of Our Lady Star of the Sea (Stella Maris)

This Feast Day honors Mary as Star of the Sea and is celebrated by seafarers throughout the world. It is of special significance to the Apostleship of the Sea, which is an official Apostolate of the Catholic Church. One of the more notable Masses is held in Westminster Cathedral. This organization ministers to seafarers via its many port chaplains, hostels and centers around the world. Apostleship of the Sea also provides priests in good standing to cruise lines that are interested in having a priest on board their cruises.
