Belfast, Northern Ireland: Clonard Abbey

About the Clonard Monastery:

The Church is a place of devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and a popular pilgrimage destination. Young people are especially welcome, and there is a dedicated Youth and Young Adult Ministry here. Many missions and retreats are held here throughout the year.

The Monastery is open daily, with several Masses each day. Priests are available for confession. There is a special liturgy of the Word for Children (Primary 3-7) each Sunday at 12:30 pm Mass. Children’s Liturgy runs from September – June.

The Clonard Novena is held annually in June. All people are welcome to come and pray for peace for the city of Belfast. Several guest priests come to speak on various days of the Novena. Definitely worth a quick stop.
