About the Abbey:
The nuns at the Priory of Our Lady of Peace are a Roman Catholic community living according to the Rule of Saint Benedict and affiliated to the Olivetan family of Benedictines. They live next door to the monks of the Monastery of Christ our Saviour, with whom they share daily worship.
Visitors are welcome to join in daily worship activities.
One of the Sisters, Sr Esther, is an experienced iconographer who leads a number of icon-centered workshops and retreats at Turvey every year. There are offerings for people at all levels of experience, from those who are just developing an interest in icons to those who are already iconographers themselves.
