Vatican City (Rome): Pope Leo to lead Rosary for Peace

Pope Leo XIV has appealed for peace in the world throughout his pontificate. His appeals have been accompanied with consistent calls for prayer.

As part of that appeal, on May 30, 2026 the Pope will preside over the recitation of the Holy Rosary at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes on the Vatican grounds.

Each decade of the rosary will be dedicated to people impacted by war—from families torn apart to medical personnel and volunteers.

The rosary is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Rome time (3:00 p.m. Eastern time in the U.S.)

You can view Pope Leo leading the global Rosary for Peace from the Vatican Gardens on May 30 at 1:00 PM CDT. The prayer is being livestreamed globally through official Vatican broadcasts.
