Catholic priest from Minneapolis to appear on “Jeopardy!” March 30, 2026

OK, it doesn’t have anything to do with travel, but it should be interesting……….Father Paul Baker, Parochial Vicar at The Church of Saint Agnes in St. Paul, Minnesota, will appear on the TV show “Jeopardy!” on March 30, 2026 (coincidentally the Monday of Holy Week).

Jeopardy! was ranked #3 among syndicated broadcasts and often competes for the #1 spot, trailing slightly behind or trading top ratings with Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. The show consistently reaches a vast audience, with recent seasons averaging in the 7 to 8 million viewer range, peaking even higher during special tournaments.

While Fr. Baker has auditioned three other times, this episode will be his first appearance for the game show. He tried out in January 2026, was selected, and traveled to MGM Studios in Culver City, California, for two days of taping in February. He only learned this week that the episode would air on March 30.

A lifelong fan who watched Jeopardy! with his family as a child and even kept up with it during seminary. Students at Saint Agnes School thought of him as the “in-house trivia buff” and now they will get to see him on national TV.

Father Baker has invited parishioners and friends to watch the episode together, and the school plans to screen it in the auditorium. We will certainly be watching from here.

The episode airs on NBC at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Although the episode is pre-recorded, he is not permitted to reveal the outcome in advance (well, he’s a priest, so we guess he can keep a secret).
