Rome: Saint Patrick’s American Community

About Saint Patrick’s American Community in Rome:

The Mission of the Catholic American Community of St. Patrick’s Church (formerly located at Santa Susanna Church) in Rome is to welcome those who come to Rome as pilgrims and tourists seeking to grow in their Catholic faith celebrated in language and ways familiar to them.  Although it is interesting to attend Mass in another language, there are many who prefer Mass in their own language (in this case, obviously, English)  And that is where Saint Patrick’s fills that desire.

The Paulists currently on staff (Fr. Greg Apparcel and Fr. Steve Bossi) and the entire Santa Susanna Community are ready and willing to assist all pilgrims coming to Rome and to do everything to make your visit as fulfilling as possible.

The parish offers a great guide to Rome,  “As Romans Do”.  This 100-page guide to Rome and the Catholic American Community of St. Patrick’s Church (San Patrizio a Villa Ludovisi) is a great way to help deepen and enrich your faith during your time in Rome.  It makes many and varied recommendations for what to see and do, provides opening times and costs for museums and other places of interest, and gives an overview of what it means to be a pilgrim. Just send Fr. Greg your name and address and he will mail you a copy. (They do not have an email version.) All they ask is that you consider sending them a donation to help with postage and to support their ministry here in Rome.

Spiritual Walks of Rome:

  1. Visiting Rome for first time and want to attend Sunday Mass at the Vatican on April 19th and want to attend Papal Audience at 10am Wednesday April 22nd. I have searched ways to accomplish this and keep coming up at dead ends. Please advise on how to accomplish the above. Dan Celeski Huntsville Alabama
