Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: St Patrick’s Church and the Holy Stairs

About Saint Patrick’s Church in Pittsburgh:

St. Patrick Church is the first Catholic Church established in Pittsburgh, founded in 1808. Within this church is a replica of the Holy Stairs in Rome….people climb these stairs on their knees as they do the ones in Rome.

Saint Patrick’s is now part of the parish known as Shrines of Pittsburgh Parish comprised of six shrine churches.  Masses are rotated amongst the shrines, so be sure to check out their website for details.
