About Christ the Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Houston:
Christ the Incarnate Word Catholic Church was established in 1998 by Bishop Joseph Fiorenza as a parish of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The late Monsignor Phillipe Le Xuan Thuong was the the first pastor who led the parish from 300 families into one of the largest Vietnamese parishes in the Archdiocese. Msgr. Phillipe passed away on January 16, 2015. On April 28, 2015, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo appointed Rev. John Vianney Thu Ngoc Nguyen as the pastor for Christ, the Incarnate Word.
Christ, the Incarnate Word is a vibrant Vietnamese-American parish that has continued to grow, which resulted in construction a parish center for their parish programs and ministries. In 2005, the parish center, Immaculate Heart of Mary was completed. The parish offers Religious Education Program (Faith Formation), Children Vietnamese Language Program, ministries for community outreach, parish-life programs, prayer, bible study, among many other activities for the faithful.
