Colusa is located in the Sacramento Valley region of the Central Valley. The population was 6,411 at the 2020 census, up from 5,971 at the 2010 census. Colusa originates from the local Coru Native American tribe who, in the 1840s, lived on the opposite side of the Sacramento River.

This Victorian Gothic church was designed by San Francisco architect Bryan J. Clinch. our Lady of Lourdes Church has Masses in both English and Spanish, has Adoration and also hosts the Catholic School of Our Lady of Lourdes in Colusa.
In addition to the church itself, Our Lady of Lourdes also has a shrine to Our Lady of Sorrows. Mass is often held at the Shrine, as shown here.
