Arlington, Texas: Monastery of the Most Holy Trinity

About the Monastery of the Most Holy Trinity:

The Monastery of the Most Holy Trinity is home to an order of Discalced Carmelite Nuns, part of a worldwide religious family… a cloistered Order of women dedicated to fulfilling a special mission in the Mystical Body of Christ.

Please note:  Due to some alleged improprieties between Reverend Mother of the Monastery and a priest from outside the Diocese of Fort Worth, Mass is currently not offered to the public.  Mass is offered only to the Sisters on Sundays.  Here is the statement from the Diocese of Fort Worth.

As of September, 2024 the sisters have announced their decision to join the Society of Saint Pius X.   Saint Pius X is a canonically irregular traditionalist Catholic priestly fraternity founded in 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and is not in full communion with the Catholic Church.  You can read their statement here.

  1. We do not have much first-hand knowledge of the situation…it is supposedly because of an improper relationship between mother superior and a priest from outside the Diocese. It is a messy situation and certainly not fair to the sisters living there…but we pray for the right resolution to this.
