About The Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Doha, Qatar:

Our Lady of the Rosary was the first Catholic church in Qatar, and also the first in an Arab Muslim emirate.  Our Lady of the Rosary Church was dedicated in the capital, Doha, on March 14, 2008. The church cost $15 million to build and received contributions from Catholics throughout the Arabian Peninsula.

Sunday and weekday Masses are held in English as well as nine other  languages, as noted on their website under “timings”.

Recently Sumaya Baqavi, The Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) of Singapore’s Embassy, attended a reception in honour of Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, Bishop Aldo Berardi, at the Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Qatar.  Sumaya Baqavi underscored the enduring and special relationship between Singapore and Qatar in her opening remarks.

Baqavi cited the Arabic proverb, “Ma Khaba Men Istashaar”, which translates to “he who seeks counsel and advice from others does not do wronga

They spoke about the importance of interfaith dialogue & Pope Francis’ recent historic visit to Singapore.
