Opened in 1917, The Cathedral of the Consolata in Tehran is the main church for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tehran-Isfahan, dedicated to Our Lady of Consolation and serving the Latin Rite (not to be confused with Iran’s Chaldean or Armenian Catholic cathedrals). Completed around 1937, it’s a functioning church for the diverse foreign Catholic community in Tehran, offering Masses in multiple languages and housing a shrine with relics.
