About St. Louis de Montfort:

Devotion to Saint Louis de Montfort has brought a degree of fame to this town in Brittany which he was born.

Brittany has a reputation of being the most Catholic area of France and and actually has an ancient dialect, the Breton, which is a language of Celtic origin, and still spoken widely in the region.

Born Saint Louis Marie Grignon, Saint Louis de Montfort was known for his particular devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and praying the Rosary. He wrote many books on Mariology, perhaps most notably The Secret of the Rosary and True Devotion to Mary.

We celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Louis de Montfort on April 28.

Saint Louis de Montfort founded several Congregations: the Daughters of Wisdom, the Brothers of St. Gabriel and the Community of the Holy Spirit.
