Guayaquil, Ecuador: National Shrine of Divine Mercy
The history of the Shrine:
The most important Marian Shrine in Ecuador (Santuario Nacional de la Divina Misericordia) is a project begun in 2007, and continuing on to this date. Donations from local parishes and from around the world, have helped to make it a reality. The cornerstone of the Sanctuary was laid on September 6, 2009. In addition to the Sanctuary, it is planned to have a retreat house, Mary’s Way of the Cross, and underground crypt housing 2,000 double niches.
About the Shrine of Our Lady of Divine Mercy:
The shrine is located in the midst of a forest, and offers Masses daily. You can expect large crowds on feast days throughout the year. They welcome…and need….your financial support to continue work on the Shrine, so please donate if you can.
