Bois Signeur Isaac, Belgium: Eucharistic Miracle

About the apparitions:

In 1405 Our Lord appeared to John of Huldenberg in the tiny village of Bois Signeur Isaac about 15 miles south of Brussels. He showed himself covered with His wounds. He appeared to John twice and then on a third time He spoke ordering John “Go into the Chapel of Isaac, you will find Me there.”

At the same time, the parish priest, Peter Ost, heard a voice instructing him to offer the Mass of the Holy Cross in the Chapel of Isaac. The priest knew nothing of John’s visions at this time.

The following day the pastor summoned all the faithful to assist at Mass at the Chapel of Isaac. As the priest began to celebrate Mass he noticed that the host was actually bleeding, and was thoroughly mystified. John Huldenberg, who was present at the Mass, assured the priest that he should not be alarmed. John then revealed his visions to the priest to reassure him that this was all in God’s plan.

The Host bled on the corporal for almost a week, until the entire corporal was soaked in blood. Then it slowly began to dry up and coagulate. The Bishop decided to launch his own investigation and gathered testimony from the many people who had witnessed the event. The Bishop had the corporal in his possession for about two years.

On June 16, 1410, the Bishop granted an indulgence of 40 days to those who visited the Chapel at Bois-Seigneur-Isaac. On May 3, 1413, he allowed the corporal to be venerated as a relic and established a solemn procession in honor of the miracle, along with public exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
