Catholic Shrines & Places of Interest in Belgium
Belgium could be said to have something of a split personality, with the country speaking Dutch in Flanders, in the north and French in Wallonia,in the south although the main religion has traditionally been Catholic in both these regions. Flanders has generally been more economically prosperous, while Wallonia is historically known for its industrial past. These differences contribute to ongoing political and social dynamics within Belgium.
