Virginia Dale, Colorado: The Abbey of Saint Walburga

About the Abbey of Saint Walburga:

This small community of Benedictine Nuns is devoted to prayer through the Divine Office and Lectio Divina.

They provide a place for people to pray and go on retreat. Non-structured retreats are available for individuals and groups. For groups, they offer space for lectures, conferences and group prayer. Groups may bring their own leader or request that one of the nuns lead the retreat.

Visitors are invited to join the Sisters in praying the Liturgy of the Hours as well as the celebration of the Eucharist. Reservations are required, so be sure to contact them in advance.

In addition to the Abbey retreat house there is a small library of books and videos The Abbey Gift Shop carries a great selection of items as well. Currently, the sisters are raising funds for an enlarged retreat center, so they could use your help if you are able to contribute in any way.
