Poznan:  The Minor Basilica of Saint Stanislaus

About the Minor Basilica of Saint Stanislaus:

Perhaps one of Poland’s most significant artistic treasures, this Basilica houses numerous Roman artworks from the Baroque period.  There is also much to see in the interior frescoes.

Of great interest also is the Chapel of the Holy Cross, featuring a 16th Century crucifix and a painting of The Mother of God of Incessant Help.

The Basilica has an organ dating from 1876 and offers organ concerts every Saturday at 12:15 p.m.
