Chateauneuf-de-Galaure: The Home of Venerable Marthe Robin

About Marthe Robin:

One of the mystics of the 20th Century, Marthe Robin was born in 1902 and became bedridden for the rest of her life when she was 21 years old.  It was reported that she ate nothing other than the Eucharist for many years. In addition to the many visions she received, she also had the Stigmata (the wounds of Christ).

Four Bishops and over 200 priests attended her funeral on February 12, 1981. Her tomb is in the cemetery of St Bonnet.  She was recognized for her heroic virtues in 2014.
