South Korea (Seoul): Papal Mass with Pope Francis

The Seoul city government estimates that as many as 1 million people, including 200,000 Catholic believers, may gather to attend or watch the rare Catholic event in the country.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pope Francis driving through the city….and we all know what that will look like, based on what happened in Rio during world Youth Day.  Mass will begin around 11:30 a.m.

The city will close the roads around the Gwanghwamun area on the day of the ceremony while subway trains will not stop at the Gwanghwamun, City Hall and Gyeongbokgung Palace stations.
