January 18, 2018
The Holy Relics of Saint Sharbel are making a return visit to Saint Joseph Maronite Catholic Church on January 18, 2018 until January 21, 2018. The four days of the visit will be marked with Liturgies, Prayer and Veneration of this most Holy Saint of the Church.
Saint Sharbel is known throughout the world for his physical and spiritual healings attributed to his intercession. St Sharbel died on Dec 24th, 1898. Several months after his death a bright light surrounded his tomb. Upon opening his tomb, his body was found intact and transpired blood and water like any living organism. His body remained intact some 50 years after his death with no scientific explanation. He was Beatified on December 5th, 1965 and Canonized on October 9, 1977.
In order to properly celebrate this spiritual visit of the Relics, Saint Joseph Maronite Catholic Church most cordially invite the faithful and people of good will to venerate the Relics of Saint Sharbel being held at Saint Joseph. Many prayers and petitions will be brought before the reliquary of Saint Sharbel by the faithful who will be able to ask God for the intercession of Saint Sharbel.
