The Feast of the Martyrs of Otranto is celebrated on August 14 to commemorate 813 inhabitants of Otranto, Italy, who were executed by Ottoman forces on August 14, 1480, for refusing to convert to Islam.

Led by tailor Antonio Primaldo, they were beheaded on the Hill of Minerva. They were canonized by Pope Francis in 2013.

Their relics are here in the Cathedral in Otranto, Italy.
