Death Anniversary of Louis Pasteur

Louis Pasteur was a devout Catholic whose work in germ theory resulted in the process of pasteurization, saving countless lives. He died in Saint-Cloud (near Paris), following multiple strokes, on September 28, 1895, at the age of 72.

His tomb is here in Paris in the Institut Pasteur, which he founded.
