Construction of the mission began in November 1983 when about 50 believers attended a Korean-language mass with Father John P. Won of the Los Angeles Diocese. Through the efforts of many believers and priests, it was established in the Diocese of Phoenix in 2009 as the Catholic St. Hyo-im Kim All Church. Father Simon Jeon (Suwon Diocese), the first priest of the Phoenix Korean Catholic Church, was finally appointed on February 23, 1996, and the first mass was held on February 25, marking a new turning point for the Phoenix Korean Catholic Church. has been met. In July 1997, Choi Byeong-guk (Ao Ding) was appointed as the second pastoral chairman and began active activities. In particular, in January 1997, he purchased a hall where the Korean community’s prayer meetings and various events were held, contributing greatly to revitalizing the activities of various religious groups. Following Father Jeon Si-mon, Father Young-don Kang (Laurencio) from the Diocese of Busan took office as the second priest in October 1998.

In 2009, the community was officially recognized as “St. Columba Kim Roman Catholic Mission Mesa” by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted of the Diocese of Phoenix, and in 2010, the temple, which had been a long-standing desire of the community, was opened by the Diocese of Phoenix.

This is a Korean mission church, so Masses will be held in Korean.
