One oft-stated theme on our website that most excites us is the growing trend toward the traditional Catholic architecture. We’ve noticed that in the past so many beautiful churches and cathedrals inspired worshippers; unfortunately, this was prior to the “wreckovation” of many during the wake of some of the mis-interpretations of Vatican II.
The trend to throw out traditional architecture has finally begun to reverse, as such excesses often do.
Here in Olathe, Kansas we see a great example of the renaissance in Catholic Church architecture.
Their capital campaign is currently underway….and the result will be one of the most beautiful churches in the country.

Olathe is a suburb of Kansas City, about 20 miles from the city center. According to the most recent census, it is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. The parish currently meets in the gymnasium of the St John Paul II Catholic School while construction is under way.
