Saint Pier Georgio Frassati Chapel in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church:

Of special interest is the Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati Chapel (still a Blessed, Pier Georgio Frassati is to be declared a saint in September 2025).  The chapel is available during all hours for private prayer. Eucharistic Exposition is held during select hours.  The chapel located at the Immaculate Conception Parish Office, 1338 8th St. NW Suite 101.is may be accessed directly via the alleyway between the Intersect at O and Perla apartment buildings. From the church, proceed north on 8th Street NW towards the Giant grocery store. Turn left on O Street. The alleyway is located on your left. Look for the Frassati Chapel sign.

Benedict the sat at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.A very important member of the staff is Benedict the Cat:

Benedict was adopted from a barn cat organization and came to the parish shortly after the feast of St. Benedict in 2022. His main job is to keep vermin away. When he is not on duty (which is really never), his hobbies include eating, sleeping, trying to get into the church during Mass and Holy Hour, and hanging out during Holy to Happy (young adult Holy Hour). He never asks for a raise or any personal time off, is always on duty, no office gossip and requires no help from  Human Resources (gets great reviews).  Don’t we wish we could say that about some of the staff in our own parishes?

Needless to say, there have been no problems with rodents since Benedict arrived as cat in residence.
