Beloit, Kansas: Saint Pio Chapel in St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church

About the Saint Pio Chapel in St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church:

The Saint Pio chapel is found within Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beloit, KS, and was officially recognized on February 11, 2024, with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Gerald Vincke of the Diocese of Salina, after which the relic of St. Pio was officially placed for public veneration.

The chapel is the first of a series of five chapels to be realized in partnership with the Saint Pio Foundation, which granted the first-class relic to the parish.

At the core of this partnership is to offer the opportunity to pray in the presence of the relics of Saint Pio to as many faithful as possible, without having to travel too far. In doing so, the Foundation’s vision is that of fulfilling Padre Pio’s own desire when he said, “I am everyone’s everything. Each of you can say: “Padre Pio is mine!”

The Saint Pio Chapel is a place of worship, where all are invited to pray before the relic of Saint Pio, to ask for his intercession for your journeys and spiritual needs.

The first-class relic of Saint Pio exhibited at Saint Pio’s Chapel is part of a cloth used to cleanse the wound in the saint’s side, stained with blood.
