About the Netherlands:
The tiny nation of Netherlands (In English sentences, the country is always referred to as “the Netherlands” even though “Netherlands” can be used). The Netherlands is one of Europe’s main destinations, as well as a transfer point for many flying to Europe through Amsterdam’s Schilphol Airport. The Dutch capital of Amsterdam presents a study in contrasts, with its infamous red light district; marijuana bars as opposed to several sites of great spirituality. Perhaps in no other city do we have such opposite extremes.
