The oldest Roman Catholic Church in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the cornerstone was laid on West & West Hill Streets in Nassau, in 1885 under the supervision of the resident priest, Father John O’Keefe. The church was consecrated by the Archbishop of New York Michael A. Corrigan in 1887.
