Stockholm, Sweden

Catholic history of Stockholm, Sweden:

Stockholm was elevated to the Diocese of Stockholm in 1953 and now covers the entire country of Sweden. Although still a minority, the number of Catholics in Sweden has grown in the 20th and 21st centuries, largely due to immigration.  Approximately 1.2% to 1.5% of Sweden’s population is formally registered as Catholic, totaling roughly 126,000 to 150,000 members.

As a result this immigrationj, many churches offer services in multiple languages to cater to what is now a diverse population.
