Kenya, officially the Republic of Kenya, is a vibrant country in East Africa straddling the equator, bordering South Sudan and Ethiopia (north), Somalia (east), Tanzania (south), Uganda (west), and the Indian Ocean (southeast). It is renowned for its diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and cultural heritage. Most international visitors need an eVisa, which can be applied for online at least seven days before travel, costing around $50 for single-entry visas valid for three months. Some nationalities are exempt, but it’s important to check eligibility. Travelers arriving from countries with yellow fever risk must present a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Other recommended vaccinations include typhoid, hepatitis A, and malaria prophylaxis, especially for coastal and game park region.
