About the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption:
Certainly one of the highlights to any visit to Verona, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption has some magnificent works of art.
One of the The first three chapels on each side house mostly Renaissance artworks by Veronese artists. The painting of the assumption shown here is generally credited to Titian as well as another artist, although we cannot verify that. Certainly the more famous painting titled “The Assumption” by Titian hangs in Venice and is different from this one.
