Nova Scotia

About Nova Scotia:

Located on its east coast of Canada, Nova Scotia is one of the three Maritime provinces of Canada. In 1605, French colonists established the first permanent European settlement in the future Canada (and the first north of Florida) at Port Royal in 1605, founding what would become known as Acadia.  Although the second-smallest province by area, it the second-most densely populated province in Canada, with an estimated population of over 1 million as of 2024.

The main city in Nova Scotia is the capitol, Halifax, along with Sydney and Truro.
