About the Church of Notre-Dame-la-Grande in Poitiers, France:
The church has some interesting features. At the entrance gate, a frieze relates Biblical episodes from Adam and Eve to the birth of Jesus. Above, the college of apostles, bishops and pope are shown on either side of the single window. Christ in glory is in the center of a gable.
The west front is adorned with statuary that are considered masterpieces of Romanesque religious art.
