The Katy Trail is a 237 mile (386 km) trail, formerly the MKT rail line, which goes across most of the state of Missouri. Needless to say, the trail is popular with hikers and bikers.
About the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Missouri:
Located about two miles off the trail, the Shrine provides a place to attend Mass on many occasions. Inside you will find votives and discarded crutches in thanksgiving for favors received.
It also has an outdoor Way of the Cross, an underground Grotto of the Sepulcher, and a well to which water from Lourdes is added.
Traveling to the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Starkenburg:
There is no actual street number, but if you take Highway P (about 1 miles west of Rhineland) and go two miles north you will reach the Shrine. It is located next to the B&B shown on the map below.
