Gor sw Anny:  Saint Anne’s Mountain

History of Saint Anne’s Mountain:

This fascinating site contains over 40 Calvary Chapels dating from the early 18th Century, and a special statue of Saint Anne.  The statue depicts three figures:  Saint Anne, with two children in her arms: Mary as the new Eve and Jesus.

When John Paul II visited here in 1983, he said “In the form of St. Anne, of worship is emphasized above all maternity: mother – the mother of the mother. The Son of God became man so that Mary became his mother

In addition, there is a replica of the Lourdes grotto.
