Originally called Deishú by the Tlingit People who settled in the area over 2000 years ago, Haines is located in the northern end of the Alaskan Panhandle near Glacier Bay National Park.
It sits on the longest and deepest fjord in North America. Haines is also home to The American Bald Eagle Foundation where you can experience live raptors, trainers and a state of the art natural history museum.
