Eureka Springs, Arkansas

About Eureka Springs, Arkansas:

Eureka Springs, Arkansas is a charming small town nestled in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas. The town originated in the late 1800s as a health resort due to its “healing” mineral springs, and that legacy continues with spas and spring parks today. With a population of around 2,166 (as of the 2020 census), it’s famous for its well-preserved Victorian architecture, natural springs and artistic vibe.

The entire historic downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, featuring winding streets lined with unique shops, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants in beautifully restored 19th-century buildings.  A massive 67-foot-tall white statue of Jesus , “Christ of the Ozarks”, overlooks the town.  It’s an iconic landmark visible from miles away.

Other popular spots include the Crescent Hotel (known for its history and ghost tours), Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (big cat sanctuary), nearby lakes like Beaver Lake for outdoor activities, ziplines, caves, and hiking in the Ozarks. The town hosts festivals, live music, parades, and events year-round—recent ones include chocolate markets, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, art exhibits, and upcoming ones like the Kite Festival or ObscuraCon later in 2026.
