The Footsteps of Mother Seton, organized by the Shrine of St Elizabeth Anne Seton, retraces her journey from Baltimore to Emmitsburg.
The 61-mile walk begins June 19 with Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption and ends on June 22, the Feast of Corpus Christi—the same day in 1809 when Mother Seton arrived in Emmitsburg in a covered wagon to begin her ministry. Along the way, pilgrims will visit Jubilee sites, local parishes, and participate in two Eucharistic processions.
Pilgrims travel through Maryland’s scenic and historic Catholic sites.
All are welcome.
