About the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace (also called the Shrine to Immaculate Heart of Mary):
The only Marian shrine on the west coast of the U.S. is located at Our Lady of Peace Church here in Santa Clara. It is run under the auspices of The Fathers of the Institute of the Incarnate Word.
The parish itself does not have a large number of members, but many people come here from elsewhere in the area….and from around the country. As a result, there are over 27 Masses offered each week……with Confession offered before each Mass. Over 5,000 people attend Mass each weekend.
On the 13th of each month from May through October a special Mass is held in honor of Our Lady of Fatima at 7:30 p.m
The shrine is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And….has had Perpetual Adoration for over 30 years.
Also on the church grounds is a well-stocked book store. There are many other spiritual activities as well.
