Dallas, Texas: The Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe
About the Cathedral:
Designed by Nicholas J. Clayton, it was dedicated in 1902, but did not realize its final design completion until 2002 when an additional 224-foot bell tower and 49-bell carillon were finally added to the building.
The Cathedral has a congregation that is the second-largest in the country…the largest being that of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.
The Cathedral is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturdays 8:00 a.m until 8:00 p.m and Sundays 8:00 am until 3:00 p.m.
