Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Central Association of the Miraculous Medal
About the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal:
One of the most popular Catholic devotions is to the Miraculous Medal as dictated to St. Catherine Laboure in Paris. For those who have the opportunity to visit Paris, we encourage you to visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal as your number one stop; however, for those living in the U.S. you have the opportunity to visit this shrine in the city of Philadelphia.
Founded by Saint Vincent de Paul, the Vincentians have been in the United States since 1818 and the Eastern province was established in 1888. The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal was established in 1915 with the intent to spread devotion to Mary under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
